Delivery & Returns

Deliveries...


The order will be delivered to your specified address. Deliveries are only made between Monday - Friday between 8am and 8pm Deliveries are not made on public holidays or at weekends.

Unless specifically requested or agreed, our delivery is typically to ground floor entrance areas. In the event that premium services are required e.g. delivery to point of use in multi-storey buildings, these are by quotation and arranged in conjunction with your sales representative. These arrangements may also apply to some bespoke products which may be very heavy or bulky thus requiring special delivery arrangements.

Any delivery dates are approximate unless agreed in writing. We cannot and do not guarantee delivery dates or times.

If there is a specific delivery date required please make sure to state it on the order. Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches will do everything reasonably possible to achieve an agreed delivery date.

Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches manufactures the majority of their product ranges on site and holds large stocks of finished product. Stock products will be dispatched in 2/3 days any orders which require bespoke manufacture will be dispatched between 20-25 working days. In all cases please allow up to 35 working days for delivery.

Please note that Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches uses a combination of our own transport and national carriers. We pack all our products to a high standard to protect the product in transit.

Where access is denied without prior knowledge and the item required to be re-delivered, Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches reserves the right to charge for any extra carriage charges involved.

The customer is required to check the consignment for any damages or missing items whilst in transit.

All goods must be inspected for damage before signing the carriers delivery note. Damaged items must be annotated on the delivery note.

By signing the delivery note without checking for any damage you are signing that the goods have been received in "Good Condition" and no claims for damage can be entertained.

If the customer is unsure to the condition of the product received then we request the delivery is signed for as damaged with the carrier representative.

The national carriers and Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches do not accept packages to be signed for as 'unchecked'.

All damage must be reported as soon as possible (within 24 hours) for collection and / or replacements to be authorized.

Any standard products ordered in error will incur a handling charge of 15% against the invoice value plus all carriage charges both ways. The handling charge is to cover re-packaging, labour and processing time involved.

If our delivery service provider is unable to obtain a signature for delivery at the specified address, the goods will be returned to the depot and held there overnight. Our delivery service provider will leave a card to advise you that they have attempted delivery. They will attempt delivery again on the next working day. If delivery is not possible, the goods will be returned to the depot and stored. If you have not arranged for collection or re-delivery within 7 days, the goods will be returned to Signs Scott Ltd. You will need to contact us to arrange re-delivery. Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches reserves the right to charge an additional standard delivery fee in this instance.

Force Majeure


Although every effort will be made to effect prompt delivery, the Company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage due to delay in delivery, accidents, fire or strikes, or any other cause beyond its control.

Delivery Prices

Carriage is charged on all orders. England, Wales and most parts of Scotland £12.00 + Vat per order irrespective of value. Grampion and Highlands £30.00 + Vat per order. The Channel Islands and The Isle of Man £48.00 + Vat per order (3 Day Service) Northern Island £48.00 + Vat per order (3 Day Service)

Order Cancellation


Cancellation or part cancellation of an order can only be accepted after prior negotiation and agreement to terms which will indemnify against any expense incurred by the Company. If your product has been manufactured to order or is in the process of manufacture after you have approved its manufacture then no cancellation of the order will be accepted whatsoever.

Returns Policy


1. We will only accept Products back for refund or exchange, if they are 'Mis-described' 'Faulty' or 'Damaged on delivery' (if notified within 24 hours of the delivery time, by telephone, fax, or email). However we may decide to restock the product as a goodwill gesture, in which case there will be a 20% restocking fee. Note: this does not apply to personalized or bespoke products, these are non-returnable unless mis-described, faulty or damaged.

1. If the product is damaged in any way or has become broken in transit, the product must be signed for as "damaged" with the carrier and this must be notified to our sales team by email sales@schoolsigns-uk.co.uk, call 0800 988 3563 or fax 0800 988 3564  within 24 hours of receipt otherwise no liability will be accepted by Signs Scott Ltd t/as Signs for Churches and your goods will not be returnable and you will not be refunded. In the case of you being an account customer, you will remain responsible to settle your account within your agreed terms and conditions.
